DHAKA, Aug 26, 2018 (BSS) – The government offices have resumed today after the vacation of Eid-ul-Azha and weekend holidays.
The government service holders enjoyed five-day vacation as weekend holidays on August 24 and 25 merged with it.
On the first working day, officials and employees of different ministries exchanged Eid greetings at the secretariat.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader joined the Eid reunion at his ministry meeting room at 10 am and exchanged greetings with officers and employees.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed also joined Eid reunion at his ministry.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim exchanged greetings with his ministry officials and employees.
Similar pictures were also seen at other ministries including Public Administration, LGRD and Cooperatives, Information, Social Welfare, Posts and Telecommunications and Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
The Eid holidaymakers started returning to capital Dhaka after enjoying the holy Eid-ul-Azha at their village homes with the dear and near ones.
Kamalapur railway station, Sadarghat launch terminal and different bus terminals in the city were seen crowded as people returning from village homes after enjoying Eid holidays.
