11 receive burn injuries at Pallabi


DHAKA, Aug 22, 2018 (BSS) -Eleven persons, including eight of two families,
suffered burn injuries on Tuesday night following a reserved water tank blast
at Pallabi in the capital city.

The blast took place on the ground floor of a three-storey building at
section12, block -E, line-4 and house no-24 near Morapara Bihari Camp around
10:25 last night, Inspector (operation) Amranul Islam of Pallabi Police
Station told BSS today.

Eleven including house owner and his son, six of a family and two pedestrian suffered
burn injuries in the blast, he said, adding that condition of four people are
stated to be critical.

The injured were rushed to Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical
College Hospital for treatment.

Nine of the injured were identified as house owner Mosharraf Hossain, 45,
his son Jisan, tenant Awal Hossain Babu, tenant Surat Ali,60, his wife Bedana
Begum (40), their daughter Aleya, 25, daughter of Aleya, Mili, (four and a
half years), Surat’s son Rabbi,20, and his wife Laboni, 18.
