BB asks banks to ensure cyber security during Eid holidays
DHAKA, August 20, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Bank (BB) today asked the commercial banks to ensure all sorts of securities, including cyber security, during the Eid holidays from August 21 to 25.
“During the holidays, banks will have to take measures to ensuring security of IT systems, establishments and vaults,” said a BB press release here today.
The central bank also instructed the banks to appoint senior officials to make surprise visits to branches, the release added.
BB also asked the banks to maintain communication with law enforcement agencies.
