Winning start for hockey in Asian Games

DHAKA, Aug 20, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh hockey team got off to a winning
start in the Asian Games Hockey as they beat Oman by 2-1 goals in their group
opening match on Monday in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Arshad put Bangladesh ahead in the 14th minute while Juma Selim restored
the parity for Oman converting a penalty corner in the 23rd minute.

In the second quarter, Ashraful scored the second goal for Bangladesh
converting a penalty corner in the 28th minute of the match.

Bangladesh will play their next group match against Kazakhstan on August
22.
