SANGSAD BHABAN, Nov 13, 2017 (BSS) – Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif today told the Jatiya Sangsad that each assistant commissioner (land) would get a vehicle for performing their official tasks properly.
“In the meantime, 100 vehicles have been purchased for the use of AC lands (assistant commissioners-land) . . . Each AC land will get it (vehicle) by turns,” the minister said while replying to a supplementary question of treasury bench member Gazi Amjad Hossain during the Question and Answer session.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury chaired the house proceedings this evening.
Noting that the AC lands have to move remote parts of their respective jurisdictions to execute the decision of the government and sometime conducting different drives at the grassroots, the land minister said so they need transport facilities on urgent basis.
He categorically said more vehicles will be bought for the AC lands so that all assistant commissioners of district and upazila levels could get vehicle facilities by turns.
Responding to another query of treasury bench member Noorjahan Begum, the minister informed the parliament that a total of 3,100 land offices will be constructed throughout the country.
