CHESS-PRIZE-DISTRIBUTION
Prize distribution of National Women’s Chess held
DHAKA, Aug 19, 2018 (BSS)- The prize distribution ceremony of the WALTON
38th National Women’s Chess Championship was held today (Sunday) at
Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room at National Sports Council.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Dawn) Operative Director (Games & Sports) of Walton
Group distributed prizes among the winners as chief guest.
K M Shahidullah, vice president of Bangladesh Chess Federation (BSF) and
chairman tournament committee presided over the ceremony.
WCM Mahmuda Hoque Chowdhury Moly, managing director of Elegant
International Chess Academy, was present as special guest.
Champion WIM Rani Hamid received cash award of Taka 25,000 along with
trophy and WALTON gifts while runners-up WFM Nazrana Khan Eva received Taka
18,000 along with trophy and WALTON gift.
The event was held in 9 round Swiss League system and a total of forty
players participated in the event.
