Bangladesh lost to India in SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship final

DHAKA, Aug 18, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh U-15 women’s football team’s hope of retain the

SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship title vanished into blue as they suffered a solitary goal

defeat to India in the final held on Saturday at Changlimithan Football Stadium in

Bhutan.

After the barren first half, Sunita Munda scored the all-important goal for India in

the 66th minute of the match.

Earlier, Bangladesh emerged as Group B champions with a comprehensive 3-0 goal victory

over Nepal in their last group B match after trashing Pakistan by 14-0 goals in their

group opening match.

India confirmed their final spot as they defeated Nepal by 2-1 goals in the first

semi-final held at the same venue.
