GAZIPUR, Aug 18, 2018 (BSS) – Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today urged the country’s people to resist anti-liberation forces in next general election for paying the debt of Bangabandhu’s blood.

“It was the ignominious chapter for Bengali nation since the killers of Bangabandhu and the anti-liberation forces were reinstated in Bangladesh politics. We have to get rid of the curse of taint by beating them in the next polls,” he said while addressing a discussion at Kaliakoir here on the occasion of the National Mourning Day.

Had Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman been alive, the country would have reached a developed one, Mozammel said.

“Her daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to materialise his (Bangabandhu) policy and ideals. But, the killers of Bangabandhu are still active by hatching conspiracy both at home and abroad,” he said.

The Liberation War Affairs Minister urged all to be united to continue country’s development trend and contribute to building ‘Sonar Bangla’ envisioned by the Father of the Nation.

Referring to the trial of Bangabandhu’s killers, he said the government is trying to implement the verdict of the Bangabandhu killing case.

Mozammel said the mastermind and planners of the assassination will be brought to justice.

Local Awami League leaders were also present on the occasion.
