RAJSHAHI, Aug 16, 2018 (BSS)-State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar
Alam, MP, has categorically said the fugitive convicted killers of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members will not
go unpunished.

He said all the fugitive convicts will be brought back to the country and
accordingly executed on this soil so that none can dare to commit such types
of heinous crimes.

He was addressing a meeting and doa mahfil on the occasion of National
Mourning Day and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Wednesday afternoon as chief guest.

Local unit of Bangladesh Awami League organized the meeting at Charghat
Upazila headquarters of the district.

Shahriar Alam said the BNP-Jamaat axis has been hatching a deep-rooted
conspiracy against the pro-liberation forces with an ulterior motive to foil
the next general election.

He urged the leaders and workers of Awami League and all its front
organizations to be united to thwart all the anti-nation conspiracies.

Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Syeda Sadia Nuria, the meeting was
addressed, among others, by valiant freedom fighter Mijanur Rahman, Upazila
Agriculture Officer Abu Jafar Sadeque, general manager of Rural
Electrification Board Engineer Alamgir Hossain and Union Parishad Chairman
Hasanuzzaman Madhu.

Shahriar Alam said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
had liberated the country but could not materialize his dream of building the
nation.

He said currently Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been building the nation
to transform Bangabandhu’s dreams into reality and people of the country have
started enjoying fruits of the successes in many ways.

The state minister said, “The 15th August, 1975 is the black chapter of the
nation’s history and also a curse for the nation”. Killing of Bangabandhu
along with his family members is the deadliest crime of the country’s
history, he said.

Alam said after long 21 years, Awami League government started trials of
the Bangabandhu killing and attained success to some extent in this regard.

He said name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman could not be deleted from
the people’s heart till Bangladesh exists.

Shahriar said the Awami League government would once again come to power as
the people would re-elect the party for continuing the ongoing development
spree and improving their living standard.
