DHAKA, Aug 15, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League has asked its aspirants for the Khulna-4 by-polls to collect the party nomination form from August 17 to August 19.
The aspirants will have to collect the application form from AL’s President Sheikh Hasina’s political office in the city’s Dhanmondi area between 11am and 5pm on the days, said a press release.
The aspirants were also asked to submit their applications at the office within 5 pm on August 19. The election will be held on September 20.
The Khulna-4 constituency fell vacant with the death of AL’s three-time lawmaker SM Mostafa Rashidi Suja on July 26 last.
The Election Commission on Tuesday last announced the schedule for the by-election to Khulna-4 comprised of Rupsa, Terokhada and Dighalia.
According to the election schedule, the deadline for submission of the nomination is August 26, while the scrutiny date for the nomination paper is August 28 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is September 4.
