Dream of independent Bangladesh comes true for Bangabandhu: Anisul

DHAKA, Aug 15, 2018 (BSS) – Environment, Forests and Climate Change
Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud today said that the dream of independence would
not have fulfilled if Bangabandhu was not born.

“Bangabandhu prepared the nation for an armed war through his long struggle
and the dream of the independent Bangladesh comes true under his
unprecedented leadership,” he told a meeting and doa-mahfil at Forests
Building in city’s Agargaon.

The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Changes organized the
meeting marking the National Mourning Day and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of
the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Deputy minister of the ministry Abdullah Al Islam Jackob and Secretary
Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhuri addressed the meeting as special guests, said an
official handout.

Anisul Islam Mahmud said Bangabandhu gave us independent Bangladesh while
her daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to turn the nation into
a middle income country by 2021 and a developed nation by 2041.

Later, a doa mahfil was held seeking eternal peace of the departed souls
of Bangabandhu and his family members.
