DHAKA, Aug 15, 2018 (BSS) – Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor
today said young generation should explore the country’s War of Liberation as
a great dedication, devotion, sacrifices, immense oppression as well as
deprivation are linked with the history of that war.

“It’s not possible to explore the War of Liberation only through
academic knowledge. We’ll have to go deep into it,” he said.

The Minister was addressing a function marking the National Mourning Day
and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman held at the auditorium of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College
this morning, said a press release.

He said the new generation should know and learn the history and tales of
the War of Liberation.

“If possible, the freedom fighters and members of the martyred families
could be brought into the class rooms and let them tell about the history of
struggle, and dedication and sacrifices of the Bengali nation during the War
of Liberation to students,” Noor said.

He mentioned that it was only Bangabandhu who gained the trust and
confidence of the common people during that time.

Chaired by Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Governing Body Chairman
Golam Ashraf Talukder, the function was addressed, among others, by its
Governing Body member Maruf Ahmed Monsur, Adv Dr Yunus Ali Akand, Ataur
Rahman, Dr Muhammad Mojibur Rahman Howlader, Dr Muhammad Tajul Islam, Tinna
Khurshid Jahan, Farhana Khanam, Mahbubul Haque Mithu, Mushtari Sultana and
