3.5 kg gold seized at Ctg airport
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 15, 2018, (BSS) – Customs officials today seized 32 gold bars
worth Tk 1.6 crore from a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Shah Amanat
International Airport this morning.
On a tip-off, the officials recovered the gold bars, weighing 3.5-kg, from a
bag found in the flight that came from Dubai, said Assistant Commissioner of
the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Abu Hanif
Mohammad Abdul Jahed.
He said a team of customs officials found the gold bars in abandoned
condition and seized those from the Biman flight around 7 am.
