DHAKA, Aug 15, 2018 (BSS) – The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) today paid respect to Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking the National Mourning Day.
FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) along with its board of
directors paid rich tributes to the architect of the country’s independence
this morning through placing wreaths on the portrait of the great leader at
Bangabandhu Bhaban, Dhamondi 32, in the city, a FBCCI press release said.
They also offered munajat there and prayed for eternal peace of the
departed souls.
FBCCI directors Md Nizam Uddin, Md Shafiqul Islam Vorosha, Rashadul
Hossain Chowdhury (Ronni), Md Habib Ullah Dawn, Nizamuddin Rajesh, Hafez
Harun-Or-Roshid, Prabir Kumar Saha, SM Jahangir Hossain, Mohammad Riyadh Ali
and Priti Chakraborty were, among others, present on the occasion.
Besides, recitation of the holy Quran was held at the FBCCI office in
memory of the August 15 killings.
