Bangabandhu united Bengali nation: Misbahur
DHAKA, Aug 15, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Islami Oikya Jote Chairman Alhaj
Misbahur Rahman Chowdhury today said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman had united the whole Bengali nation.
“We have to follow the ideology of Bangabandhu, who had been able to
unite the whole Bengali nation. His lifelong struggle was against unjust,
oppression, oppressor and falsehood,” he said.
Misbahur came up with the observations while addressing a discussion and
doa mahfil organized by Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram Auditorium.
“Bangabandhu was a pure Bengali and Muslim. The huge work he had
initiated by establishing Islamic Foundation for the propagation and
expansion of Islam. Thousands of Islamic scholars have been able to find jobs
in Islamic Foundation now. His worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
has established model mosques in 560 upazillas and 1,010 Darul Arkam
Madrasas,” the Islamic Oikya Jote chairman added.
Islamic Foundation secretary Qazi Nurul Islam in his speech said
Bangabandhu is not just only a name, it is a chapter.
“Thanks to Bangabandhu’s successful leadership, we got an independent
country. He had established Islamic Foundation for the propagation and
expansion of Islam,” he said.
Islamic Foundation deputy secretary Jalal Ahmed, director AKM Mofijur
Rahman and deputy director Abu Bakar Siddique addressed the discussion, among
others.
Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Hafej Mawlana Ehsanul Haque
conducted a doa after the discussion.
