Bangabandhu still alive in the hearts of people: Dr Rafiq

NETRAKONA Aug 14, 2018 (BSS) – Vice Chancellor of Sheikh Hasina
University Prof Dr Rafiq-ullah-Khan today said Father of the National
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave Bangalis an independent country and a
new identity in the world.

He said Bangladesh could not be emerged as an independent state without
strong, courageous, far-sighted and charismatic leadership of Bangabandhu.

The Vice-Chancellor was speaking at the inaugural session of a free
medical camp set up on Azohar road under the auspices of District Red
Crescent Society, marking the National Mourning Day and 43rd martyrdom
anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He said Bangabandhu was killed physically, but he is still alive in the
hearts of people and none could be able to erase his name from the history.

The history has already recognised him as the greatest Bengali of all
time, who dedicated his whole life for the freedom of Bengali nation, Dr
Rafiq said.

The medical camp was set up for providing free treatment to the poor
people of the district.
