SWACHIP leaders for bringing back Bangabandhu’s killers
RANGPUR, Aug 14, 2018 (BSS) – Leaders of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (SWACHIP) at a discussion here today called upon the government for bringing back all absconding killers of Bangabandhu to the country to execute court’s verdict.
The Rangpur unit of SWACHIP organised the discussion at Rangpur Medical College (RMC) conference room marking the National Mourning Day-2018 and 43rd anniversary of martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Convener of Rangpur unit of SWACHIP and former RMC Principal Professor Dr Animesh Majumder presided over the discussion, moderated by its Members-secretary Professor Dr AKM Nurun Nabi Laizu.
Leaders of Rangpur district unit of SWACHIP, teachers, physicians, students, officials and nurses of and Principal of RMC and Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) were present.
Central committee members of Bangladesh Medical Association and Rangpur SWACHIP Dr Syed Mamunur Rahman, Professor Dr Debendranath Sarker, Associate Professor Dr Shujauddowla and Associate Professor Dr MA Wahab, among others, addressed.
The speakers said assassination of Bangabandhu and most of his family members on August 15, 1975 was a part of deep-rooted conspiracy aimed at making the nation leaderless to reverse independence and destroy spirit of the war of liberation.
Professor Dr Animesh Majumder said Bangladesh and Bangabandhu are inseparable and synonymous.
He called upon the government for further speeding up diplomatic efforts to bring back the absconding killers of Bangabandhu to execute the verdict of the court for freeing the Bangalee nation from the decades old stigma.
Side by side with common people, physicians should work unitedly in strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and bring back Awami League again to power for building a developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Bangabandhu, he added.
