Tajul’s Janaza held
DHAKA, Aug 14, 2018 (BSS) – The Namaz-e-Janaza of opposition chief whip
Md Tajul Islam Chaudhury was held today at the South Plaza of the Jatiya
Sangsad (JS).
Lawmakers, politicians, well-wishers, officials and employees of the JS
joined the Janaza.
After the Janaza, Military Secretary to the President, Major General Md
Sarwar Hossain, on behalf of the President, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,
Speaker of the JS Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Awami League leaders,
opposition leader of the House Rowshan Ershad, Commerce Minister Tofayel
Ahmed, Mohammad Subid Ali Bhuiyan on behalf of the Chief Whip and
parliamentary committees, leaders of Jatiya Party placed floral wreaths at
his coffin.
Before the Janaza, Jatiya Party Secretary General ABM Rohul Amin Howlader,
MP, and Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Minister
Moshiur Rahman Ranga spoke highlighting the contribution of Tajul Islam to
politics.
Later, a special Munazat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed
soul.
Tajul, who was elected as lawmaker from Kurigram-2 constituency, died at a
hospital in capital last night. He was 74.
Tajul is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter to mourn his death.
