7 killed in Narsingdi road accident
NARSINGDI, Aug 14, 2018 (BSS) – Seven people including three children were
killed and 15 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a
microbus at Sonaimorirtak under Shibpur upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Shajol, 20, Snigdha, 07, Prantika Bormon,
06, Sujon Bormon, 35, his wife Mitali Bormon, 25, Showrob Bormon, 12 and
Bristi Bormon, 6, hailed from Narsingdi, Chandpur and Narayanganj districts.
Police said the accident occurred at about 7.30 am on the Dhaka- Sylhet
Highway when a Sylhet-bound bus collided head-on with the microbus, leaving
three microbus passengers dead on the spot.
The injured were sent to Narsingdi Zila Hospital where another died. Among
the wounded, some were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical
condition but three succumbed to their injuries on way to the hospital.
Police seized both the vehicles. A case was field with Shibpur police
station in the connection.
