DHAKA, Aug 13, 2018(BSS)-Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said today that those who celebrate their birthday on the day of martyrdom of Bangabandhu were enemies of the state.

They were to be boycotted at all levels, he added. ‘Such celebrations were not only in bad taste but also extremely outrageous,” he said.

The minister was speaking as chief guest at a photo exhibition on Bangabandhu by the Press Information Department (PID) on the Secretariat premises.

The minister said the killers by killing the father figure of the national movement had wanted to destroy the soul of the nation and send its history into exile.

“But the nation had been revived along with its history by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, State Minister for Information Advocate Tarana Halim said “Bangabandhu was like a beacon to the nation. Those who tried to seal it were forces of darkness.”
