KHULNA, Aug 12, 2018(BSS)-Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said today that to make Bangladesh secure the BNP and its ally Jamaat, who carried the legacy of assassinating Bangabandhu needed to be exiled politically, socially and electorally.
The minister was speaking at a ceremony to unveil the sculpture of Bangabandhu on the premises of the radio station here.
State Minister for Information Advocate Tarana Halim, Information Secretary Abdul Malek along with local political elite and other high officials also spoke at the meeting.
The minister said that the country was on the path of light. “We will not allow it to go back, “he added.
He also said at a time when the country was waging a war against militancy, drugs and terrorism and added that it was in the context of the great Liberation War that everything had to be weighed. Those who qualify would be acceptable, he added.
Inu said that the anti-Liberation forces had killed Bangabandhu to avenge their defeat in 1971.
“They have killed the soul of Bangladesh and BNP has maintained the continuity of this politics, “he said.
He said Bangabandhu is the other side of Bangladesh; he is a nation; he is a revolution; he is an upsurge. That has to be secured.
State Minister for Information Advocate Tarana Halim said “Bangabandhu is synonymous with Bangladesh. Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are inseparable, indivisible. He is a global leader and an efficient statesman and Sheikh Hasina is our shade.”
Information Secretary Abdul Malek said that the national flag of Bangladesh was today flying atop the capital and in space.
