MANIKGANJ, Nov 09, 2017 (BSS) – A total of 135 persons opened their taxpayer identification number (TIN) willingly at a tax fair held here from November 4 to November 7 to help the government increase its revenue.
Fair sources said as many as 1,603 taxpayers submitted their income tax returns of TK. 63.36 lakh during the period.
Submission of income tax returns has increased by 70% this year as against the previous year. Proper motivation and creating awareness among the taxpayers have played a positive role in the increase of income tax submission rate.
Assistant Commissioner of Taxes Hefjul Bari was present on the concluding ceremony of the fair on Tuesday as the chief guest.
