DHAKA, Aug 12, 2018 (BSS) – The government has nationalised 271 colleges across the country as per assurance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education today issued an order in this regard, an official release said.
The number of government college stands at 598, the release said.
As per Government Certified College Teacher and Employee Empowerment Rules-2018, a total of 271 colleges under districts and upazilas have been brought under government facility from August 8.
