Defeated forces killed Bangabandhu: Amu
JHALOKATHI, Aug 11, 2018 (BSS) – Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu today said the defeated forces of the 1971 War of Liberation had killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and four national leaders to destroy Awami League (AL) as a political party.
“The anti-liberation forces in 1971 could not accept the country’s independence and that is why they killed Bangabandhu as part of a blueprint to impede the country’s development,” he told a discussion on Ronaldse road at the district town marking the National Mourning Day. Jhalokathi district unit of AL organized the discussion.
Amu said the conspiracy of anti-liberation forces to erase the name of Bangabandhu will not be successful as his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing unfinished tasks of the Father of the Nation.
“The defeated forces of 1971 tried to erase the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Joy Bangla slogan after 1975 . . . But their conspiracies were thwarted”, he added.
AL General Secretary of Jhalokathi district unit Khan Saifullah Panir and AL Jhalokathi Pourasabha Mayor Liakat Ali Talukdar, among others, addressed the discussion with Vice President of Jhalokathi district unit of AL Md Siddiqur Rahman in the chair.
