DHAKA, Aug 10, 2018 (BSS) – Recalling the role of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib in country’s independence, Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam today said Bangamata had contributed a lot to political life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“Bangamata helped Bangabandhu to take right decisions in all critical times of Bangali nation against the Pakistani ruler,” he told a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) marking the 88th birth anniversary of Bangamata.
Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib Parishad organized the discussion, an official release said.
Qamrul said, “Bangamata was a source of inspiration, strength and courage for Father of the Nation. She was very sincere in all spheres of society including politics.”
Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Aktaruzzaman, among others, addressed the discussion with
President of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib Parishad Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury chaied the meeting.
