BNP out to instigate violence repeatedly: Quader

DHAKA, Aug 9, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister today branded BNP as a destructive political organization and said the party is out to continue its tirades instigating violent acts time and again.

“BNP wants to resort to violence. They are instigating violence by spreading rumors,” he told a discussion marking the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the premises of Bahumukhi Samabai Samiti at the secretariat.

Quader said BNP wanted to take advantage capitalizing on quota movement and subsequently students’ movement for safe roads but the party could not succeed to serve its ulterior motive.

Secretariat Officer-Employee Oikya Parishad organized the discussion with its president Badrul Haider in the chair.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq, State Minister for Technical and Madrasa Education Kazi Keramat Ali, Local Government Division Senior Secretary Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan, Law Secretary Abu Saleh Sk. Md. Zahirul Haque and Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Secretary Md Shah Kamal attended the discussion, among others.

Quader said BNP founder Ziaur Rahman had awarded killers of Bangabandhu and banned the way of bringing the Bangabandhu killers to justice.

BNP had perpetrated the August 21 grenade attack to assassinate Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, he added.

The AL general secretary said BNP should keep in mind these happenings before talking about holding dialogue with Awami League.
