FARIDPUR, Aug 09, (BSS)-LGRD and Co-operatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain said Banagabandhu and Bangladesh is tied in a single thread.
“As long as Bangladesh and its people remain alive, the name of Father of the Nation will remain alive,” he told a discussion as the chief guest at Badarpur in the district.
Faridpur district unit of Awami Jubo League arranged the discussion marking the National Mourning Day.
The minister said Bangabandhu was assassinated by hatching conspiracy at home and aboard.
Though the perpetrators killed Bangabandhu, they could not kill his ideology and principles, he added.
Mosharraf urged the leaders and workers of Awami League to work together to get people’s mandate for the party in the next general election again.
If Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina again comes to power, the country’s pace of development will continue, he said.
Faridpur district Jubo League convener AHM Fuad chaired the discussion, also addressed by, Prime Minister’s son-in-law Khandker Mashrur Hossain, Faridpur district Awami League President Advocate Shubol Chandra Saha, Upazila Parishad Chairman Khandaker Mohteshem Hossain Babor and City Awami League General Secretary Chowdhury Barkat Ibne Salam.
