Govt cordial to ensure public interest: Sherif
DHAKA, Aug 9, 2018 (BSS) – Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif today said the present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is working relentlessly to accelerate and modernize the state mechanism in the public interest.
“Sheikh Hasina’s government is very cordial to ensure the public interest,” the minister said this while speaking at a key-handing over of vehicles ceremony at his Bangladesh Secretariat office here.
Referring to different development activities of the government, he said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is trying to change the fate of the helpless and poor people.
“The Assistant Commissioner of Land has to visit remote areas to see the overall activities of the land offices and perform the job of executive magistrate . . . the present government allocated vehicles for them to gear up their activities,” Sherif told assistant commissioners.
A total of 156 vehicles were handed over to the ACs (land) while 192 other vehicles will be distributed very soon.
Senior officials of the ministry were present on the occasion.
