BNP-Jamaat starts conspiracy ahead of next general elections: Nasim
DHAKA, Aug 08, 2018 (BSS)- Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim today urged his party leaders and activists to remain alert as the BNP-Jamaat alliance started hatching conspiracies ahead of the next general elections.
“The next parliament elections will be held within few months. A vested quarter has begun hatching conspiracy ahead of the polls…So, you should remain alert against all types of conspiracies,” he said, speaking at a discussion and a reception at an auditorium of National Museum here.
Bangamata Parishad organized the discussion and reception marking the 88th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib with its presidium member Mozaffar Hossain Paltu in the chair.
Former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Bangladesh Economics Association President Professor Dr Abul Barkat, Sonali Bank Limited Director Dr Nurul Alam Talukder and Bangamata Parishad General Secretary M Anisur Rahman, among others, addressed the discussion.
Nasim, also the health and family welfare minister, said BNP wanted to create unstable situation in the country by cashing on in the students’ non-political movement. They tried to catch fish in the troubled water, he added.
