Students bring out jubilant procession over approved Road Transport Act
BRAHMANBARIA, Aug 8, 2018 (BSS) – The general students today brought out a
jubilant procession in Kosba municipality area here as the cabinet has
finalized the Road Transport Act 2018.
At least 5,000 students from four high schools and one Madrasha in the
Kosba poura area participated in the procession at 10 am today.
The students expressed their deep gratitude towards Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina for her bold initiative to revise the Road Transport Act.
At the same time, they also thanked Law Minister Anisul Haq for finalizing
the draft of a modern and time-befitting Road Transport Act as per demand of
the students.
The procession paraded the main thoroughfares of the Kosba poura area and
ended in front of the Kosba Adarsha High School. A brief street rally was
also held there.
Student wing leaders of the ruling Awami League including Kosba Upazila
Chattra League President M Monir Hossain, its general secretary M Afzal
Hossain Rimon, Kosba Poura Chattra League President M Saikat Ali and its
general secretary Masum Rana congratulated the general students and spoke on
the occasion.
Students from Kosba Adarsha High School, Kosba Govt High School, Kosba
Govt Girls High School, Kosba Poura High School and Kosba Mohila Madrasha
participated in the rally.
