Three workers killed in safety tank
NARSINGDI Aug 06, 2018 (BSS) – In a tragic happening, three workers were killed and another was injured due to emission of poisonous gas inside a safety tank of a under-construction building at Bilashdi Bank Colony under Narsingdi Pourashava area today.
The deceased were identified as Sirajul Islam (32), Rakib Miah(22) and Ramij Miah (26). The seriously injured– Kamal Hossain (40)- was admitted to Narsingdi District Hospital.
Police, fire fighters and locals said the three workers, who got inside the safety tank one after another for working on it, died due to inhaling of poisonous gas. Kamal Hossain, who managed to come out of the safety tank, got seriously injured.
Receiving the information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and sent them to Narsingdi District Hospital. The attending doctors declared three workers dead.
