BGMEA seeks normalcy to continue business, livelihood

DHAKA, Aug 06, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) today requested all citizens for maintaining normalcy in the country to continue business and livelihood.

“Any type of untoward situation not only pushes the country toward the backward but also halts the normal livelihood,” said BGMEA President Siddiqur Rahman in a press conference at BGMEA headquarters.

Referring to the student movement for road safety, he said the export-bound apparel sector of the country got affected, as transportation of import and export goods faced difficulties on Dhaka-Chattogram highway for last seven days.

“If the traffic situation does not become normal, many factories would face huge stock lots and force the factories to pay penalties,” added Siddiqur.

BGMEA also expressed gratitude to the government for extending support to the logical demands of student for road safety.
