KUSHTIA, Aug 06, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League joint general secretary
Mahabub-ul-Alam Hanif today said BNP started creating anarchy using the
recent students’ agitation to destabilise the government.
“BNP itself proved that it is a part of conspiracy by supporting the
students’ agitation . . . And its prime target was to create anarchy for
destabilising the country,” he said while exchanging views with local AL
leaders and workers at his residence here.
Referring to the conversation of BNP leader Amir Khasru with their party
leaders and activists to support the students’ “safe road” movement, Hanif
said it was clear that the students’ agitation did not last long as
subsequently BNP tried to divert the movement (students) to a blueprint one.
“Due to the conspiracy, city dwellers experienced some stray incidents
and sporadic clashes,” the AL leader mentioned.
Hanif alleged that the efforts of evil force of BNP were started in line
with the giving support to the movement (students) for safe road.
“BNP has no support for the safe road movement rather their only aim is
to grab the state power by unseating the government,” he added.
But the mass people, Hanif said, will not accept it while Awami League
will not also tolerate it.
District unit of AL President Sadar Uddin Khan, senior vice-president and
Zila Parishad chairman Haji Rabiul Islam, joint general secretary Engineer
Faruk Hossainb, among others, were present on the occasion.
