DHAKA, Aug 6, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publication
Secretary Hasan Mahmud today said BNP-Jamaat wanted to carry out ‘politics of
corpses’ capitalising the non-political students’ movement, but they failed
to do so.

“The miscreants, who were involved in the attack on AL president’s
political office, attacked on the car of the US Ambassador in Dhaka and
journalists in the capital,” he said while addressing a human chain progamme
in front of Jatiya Press Club here.

Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad (BSP) formed the human chain protesting
the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat and the perpetrators of 1/11, who are out to
create anarchy in the country.

Presided over by BSP Advisor Zakir Ahmed, the programme was addressed,
among others, by Organising Secretary of Dhaka South City Unit of AL
Hedayetul Islam Swapan, AL leader Balaram Poddar and BSP President Md Jinnat
Ali and its Secretary Shahadat Hossain Toyel.

Hasan Mahmud, also chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on
the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, said the tender-age
students did not vandalise vehicles and they were also not involved in any
sabotage.

But, he said, the youths aged between 30 and 40 years infiltrated into
the students wearing ‘student’s uniform and hatched conspiracy’ to divert
their movement into a different direction.

BNP-Jamaat hatched conspiracy to get benefits from the student’s nine-
point movement demanding safe road, Hasan said, adding that they pushed
leaders and activists of their student organisations into the agitating
students to this end.

“The perpetrators of 1/11 instigated to create a particular situation in
the country. But, the cats of bags has started appearing after leaking out
telephone conversations of Nagorik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna, and
BNP leaders Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Fazlul Haque Milon,” he said.

The government has identified the instigators involved in sabotage, Hasan
said, adding that some of them have already been arrested.

He said the fact of hatching conspiracy capitalising the non-political
student’s movement will be revealed soon.
