Chattogram students call off protest
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 05, 2018 (BSS)- The students of Chattogram, who had been protesting in solidarity with protesters across the country campaigning for roads safety, called off their protest today and assured to return to their classrooms.
The decision to call off their protest came after a meeting with Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Elias Hossain at his conference room this afternoon.
Student representatives from various educational institutions including school and colleges attended the meeting.
“The students placed several demands at the meeting, I have assured them of meeting those demands. The meeting was fruitful as it was second round of talks with students after I had a meeting with heads of all educational institutions”. the deputy commissioner said.
The students announced that they would return to their respective classes on Monday.
