Miscreants attack at AL office in Dhanmondi: Quader
DHAKA, Aug 04, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said some miscreants in guise of students attacked the Awami League president’s Dhanmondi political office, holding BNP-Jamaat axis responsible for the misdeed.
“It was a planned attack. Some attackers were seen carrying firearms. They are now out to shift the responsibility of the attack to the students,” he told a press conference at the AL president’s Dhanmondi office.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said BNP-Jamaat perpetrated the attack to divert the students’ non-political movement to a dirty way of agitation.
He said 17 leaders and workers of Awami League received injures in the attack.
The minister said they are now anxious about the safety of the agitating students.
Central leaders of the party were present in the press conference.
