Nahid urges students to return to classes

SYLHET, Aug 4, 2018 (BSS) – Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today urged the students to stop their ongoing movements and to return to classes.

“We have accepted all demands of students and to implement these demands in phases,” he told the third convocation of Metropolitan University in Sylhet.

Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of Metropolitan University Dr Toufiq Rahman Chowdhury and Vice Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Md Saleh Uddin, among others, addressed the convocation.

Describing demands of students as logical, Nahid said the government is sincerely working to bring the transport sector under discipline.

Nahid called upon the transport owners to ply their vehicles for removing suffering of the people. BSS/CORR/MMR/MRU/1848hrs
