President visits ailing journalist Golam Sarwar

DHAKA, Aug 02, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid visited the daily Shamokal Editor Golam Sarwar at the Labaid Specialized Hospital in the capital this evening.

“The President went to the hospital at 9.30 pm and spent 15 minutes beside him. He (Golam Sarwar) is undergoing treatment at the Critical Coronary Unit (CCU) in the hospital since July 30 following lung infection and a cardiac arrest,” President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.

Abdul Hamid also talked to the attending doctors and wished early recovery of the editor.

Secretaries concerned to the President and family members of Golam Sarwar were present.

The 75-year-old writer and columnist Golam Sarwar will be taken to Singapore for better treatment tomorrow, his son Ranju told BSS.
