India 76-3 against England in 1st Test

BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom, Aug 2, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – India were 76 for three in reply to England’s first innings 287, a deficit of 211 runs, at lunch on the second day of the first Test at Edgbaston on Thursday.

Sam Curran was responsible for an India top-order collapse during a spell of three wickets for eight runs in eight balls and the Surrey left-arm swing bowler had figures of three for 23 in six overs at lunch.

India captain Virat Kohli was nine not out and Ajinkya Rahane unbeaten on eight.

This is England’s 1,000th Test and the first of a five-match series.
