PSC bans electrical devices at BCS exam centres

DHAKA, August 2, 2018 (BSS) – The authorities of Public Service
Commission (PSC) has put restriction on carrying any kind of electronic
devices during MCQ type written test for the 39th special Bangladesh Civil
Service (BCS) examination to be held tomorrow (Friday).

PSC said it restricts carrying books, calculator, bag and all kinds of
watches as required numbers of wall clocks will be installed at every
examination centre for seeing the time.

If the candidates carry any kind of electronic devices, they would be
punished under the PSC rules and regulations. Eventually, they would be
prohibited to take part in all examinations under PSC forever, said a PSC
press release today.

The two-hour BCS preliminary test will be held simultaneously in Dhaka,
Chittagong, Rajshahi, Barisal, Khulna, Sylhet and Rangpur centres from 3 pm
to 5 pm to recruit physicians.

The test comprises of 200 marks of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and
100 marks of viva-voce.

On April 8, the PSC published a circular for 39th special BCS to recruit
4,542 doctors and 250 dental surgeons. A total of 32,583 aspirants applied
against 4,542 doctor posts while 5,150 against 250 dental surgeon posts.
