Nine houses gutted in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 2, 2018 (BSS) – At least nine houses were gutted in a
devastating fire at Charondip village under Boalkhali upzila of the district
early today.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short
circuit from a house in the area around 4.30 am and quickly engulfed the
surrounding houses.
On information, two units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence from
Boalkhali upazila fire station rushed to the spot and brought the flame under
control around 5:30 am.
Valuables worth Taka over four lakh were gutted in the fire, Abdul Motin,
owner of a house, claimed.
He said none was injured in the fire incident.
