‘Bangabandhu will live in people’s mind forever’

RAJSHAHI, Aug 2, 2018 (BSS)-Academics and professional leaders have
unanimously observed that the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman could not be deleted from the people’s mind till Bangladesh
exists.

Recalling the greatest contribution of Bangabandhu to the independence of
Bangladesh, they mentioned the fugitive convicted killers of Bangabandhu and
his family members will not go unpunished.

All the fugitive convicts will be brought back to the country and
according executed on this soil so that none can dare to commit such types of
heinous crimes.

They were addressing a meeting titled “Chetonar Batighar Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman” in the conference hall of Teachers Training College
here on Wednesday afternoon.

City unit of Bangabandhu Parishad organized the discussion to mark the
mourning month of August.

Mayor-elect of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and
Begum Akhter Jahan, MP, addressed the meeting as chief and special guests
respectively with the unit president Prof Nurul Alam in the chair.

Former Vice-chancellors of Rajshahi University Prof Sayeedur Rahman Khan
and Prof Mijanuddin, famous writer Prof Hassan Azizul Haque, language
movement veteran Mosharraf Hossain Akunji and Prof Ruhul Amin Pramanik, among
others, spoke on the occasion.

Liton said all people irrespective of political affiliation must follow
the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The
people should also hear the speeches of Bangabandhu minutely.

“Apart from a few anti-liberation thugs, the whole nation under the
leadership of Bangabandhu fought and brought independence of the country and
that’s why the Bangalee nation embraced him as their closest one,
affectionately decorating him with the honor of Bangabandhu,” he said.
