DSCC starts free health service marking Nat’l Mourning Day

DHAKA, Aug 1, 2018 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today started offering medical services free of cost to the citizens of the city for 15 days marking the National Mourning Day.

DSCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokan inaugurated the fortnight-long free health service programme titled ‘Bangabandhu Primary Health Service’ at Nagar Bhaban here.

He said the DSCC has taken this programme to reach the health services to the doorsteps of common people of the city.

He urged the city people to call 09611000999 to avail of the free services.

A chief coordinator is coordinating the service while a total of 130 sub-assistant community medical officers have been employed at all wards of the city corporation areas.

Ward Councilors Humayun Kabir and Abu Ahmed Mannafi also spoke in the inaugural function while DSCC Chief Executive Officer Khan Mohammad Bilal and Chief Health Officer Brigadier General Sheikh Salahuddin were present.
