Mohila AL to observe Mourning Day in Rangpur
RANGPUR, July 30, 2018 (BSS) – The district unit of Mohila Awami League (AL) has taken programmes to observe the National Mourning Day- 2018 and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15.
The programmes were finalised at a preparatory meeting held at the party office in the city today afternoon.
President of district Mohila AL Mortuza Mansur presided over the meeting moderated by its General Secretary Advocate Zakia Sultana Choite.
Women Affairs Secretary of district AL Latifa Shawkat attended the meeting as invited guest.
Vice-presidents of district Mohila AL Sathi Begum, Parvin Aktar and Jasmine Akhter, its Joint Secretary Advocate Alpona Islam Shampi, Organising Secretaries Arfian Akhter Beauty and Afroza Aziz Koni, Office Secretary Lovely Yasmin Ratna, among others, addressed.
Leaders of district unit of Mohila AL and its Sadar, Kawnia, Gangachara, Badarganj, Pirgachha, Pirganj, Mithapukur and Taraganj units were present.
After elaborate discussions, the meeting finalised the programmes to observe the day on August 15 next.
The observance will begin through placing wreaths at the Mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the city in the morning.
The programmes also include hoisting of the national flag at half-mast atop party office, arranging essay competitions, discussion, milad and doa mahfils and offering special munajats.
