CHATTOGRAM, July 30, 2018 (BSS) – Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation AJM
Nasiruddin said the port city would be turned into a city which would have
global standard amenities by 2020.
He said the city dwellers of Chattogram would have to face some sorts of
sufferings due to the ongoing development projects.
The mayor was speaking at a civic rally at a convention hall arranged
marking the 3rd anniversary of his assuming office.
During the rally, Nasir informed participants about the ongoing
development works in 41 city wards
beside the three mega projects worth Taka 1,220 crores aimed at turning
the city into clean and green one.
AJM Nasir requested the city dwellers to bear the sufferings caused by the
ongoing development works for the betterment of the city.
The City Mayor also reiterated his zero tolerance to any irregularities
and corruptions by the CCC officials in implementing the development works of
the projects.
President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mahbubul Alam,
Managing Director of Chattogram WASA Engineer AKM Fazlullah, Commander of
Chattogram Jilla Muktijuddah Sangsad Mohammad Shahab Uddin, Commander of City
Muktijuddah Sangsad Mozaffar Ahmed, President of Chattogram Union of
Journalists Nazim Uddin Shyamol, President of Chattogram Press Club Kolim
Sarwar, President of Chattogram TV Journalists Association Ali Abbas, Vice
President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Reaz Haider Chowdhury,
President of Chattogram District BAR Association Advocate Iftakher Saimul
Chowdhury and Engineer Mohammad Harun, among others, addressed the function.
President of Chattogram North district AL Nurul Alam Chowdhury, councilors,
elites and people irrespective of opinions, party affiliations and leaders of
professional and trade bodies, officials and staffs of the corporation
participated in the rally.
