One-lakh pieces contraband tablets seized from Hili frontier
RANGPUR, July 29, 2018 (BSS) – Police seized one-lakh pieces of
contraband cow fattening tablets from Nawdapara road on Hili frontier under
Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur district today.
“A special police team raided the area and seized one-lakh pieces of
smuggled cow fattening tablets worth Taka one-lakh from the spot in the early
morning,” said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hakimpur Thana Abdul Hakim Azad.
Sensing the presence of the police team, the smugglers, however,
managed to escape the scene leaving their smuggled tablets packed in a sac
there.
A case was filed in this connection with Hakimpur Thana, the OC added.
