Road accident kills one in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 26, 2018 (BSS)- A fourth class employee of local land office was killed in a road accident at Shahibagh in the town today.
The deceased was Abdul Hannan, 53, son of Md. Shamsuddin of Bidirpur in Chapainawabganj municipality.
Police and witnesses said Hannan was going to his office at Chatrajitpur in Shibganj upazila by a motorcycle around 9 am. As he reached Shahibagh area on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway, a Sonamasjid-bound truck hit his motorcycle from back leaving him injured seriously. He succumbed to his injury on the way to hospital.
Being informed, police from Chapainawabganj sadar thana seized the truck but its driver managed to escape.
