Tourism Minister urges DCs to create new tourism spots

DHAKA, July 25, 2018 (BSS)- Deputy Commissioners (DC) have been directed to take initiatives for setting up new tourism spots at Chattogram’s Parki, Kumilla’s Lalmai, Barishal’s Durga Sagar Dighi, Noakhali’s Nijhum Dwip and Faridpur and Sirajganj districts.

This was told to journalists by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal after the first session of the second day of DC conference at the conference room of cabinet division.

Shahjahan Kamal said that the government has taken projects to examine the possibility of constructing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Airport and Khan Jahan Ali Airport at Bagerhat.

The minister said that master plans have been prepared to expand the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, elevate the Cox’s Bazar Airport into an international one and develop the existing airports of Sylhet, Barishal and Saidpur.
