Taxes Zone-Rangpur holds revenue collection assessment meeting

RANGPUR, June 16, 2021 (BSS) – The monthly revenue meeting of Taxes Zone-Rangpur was held today at its conference room in the city to assess the progress of revenue collection during the current fiscal year (FY).

Tax Commissioner for Taxes Zone-Rangpur Abu Hannan Delwar Hossain presided over the monthly meeting arranged strictly maintaining the health directives and hygiene rules in the wake of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Additional Commissioner of Taxes for Taxes Zone-Rangpur Md Monjur Alam, its Assistant Commissioner of Taxes (Headquarters) Syed Nurul Huda, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes (Headquarters Technical) Md Raufur Rahman and district level officials and tax inspectors were present in the event.

Besides, the tax officials and tax inspectors from the upazila levels in all seven districts under the Taxes Zone-Rangpur virtually joined the meeting from their respective working places.

After assessing the revenue collection status across the Taxes Zone-Rangpur during the current FY, the meeting discussed various issues and aspects to attain the fixed target of realising Taka 760 crore as revenue from the zone.

The Taxes Zone-Rangpur collected Taka 600 crore as revenue during the last FY and has put maximum efforts to attain the fixed revenue collection target for the current FY in the zone.

In his speech, Tax Commissioner Abu Hannan Delwar Hossain directed the tax officials and inspectors at all levels to engage their sincere efforts for enhancing revenue collection to achieve the fixed target for the current FY in Taxes Zone-Rangpur.

He delivered necessary advice and suggestions to the officials and inspectors for attaining the sector-wise fixed revenue collection target for the Taxes Zone-Rangpur during the current FY.
