Mohammad Nasim is inspiration of political activists: Murad

Dhaka, June 14, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hasan today said Mohammed Nasim would always be the inspiration of the political activists.

“Momammed Nasim was always vocal against communalism and never deviated from his promise to build a non-communal egalitarian state”, Murad said adding his role in all democratic movements would inspire the political activists.

The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at a memorial meeting organized by Bangabandhu Academy on the occasion of the first death anniversary of former minister Mohammad Nasim, a former member of the presidium of ruling Awami League, at the National Press Club auditorium here this morning, said a press release.

“In the midst of hundreds of adversities, he never stepped back in the struggle of the movement,” Murad said.

Recalling the contribution of late leader, Murad said Nasim had strengthened the hands of the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina in building the ‘Sonar Bangla’ dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Acting President of the organization Sabbir Ahmed chaired the meeting while Awami League leader Shah Alam Murad,

Balram Poddar, Minhaj Uddin Mintu and general secretary of the organization Humayun Kabir Mizi were present, among others.
